The short version
Finpockett has no accounts, no sign-up forms, and no server-side database. Every calculator runs entirely in your browser — the numbers you type in (salary, loan amount, investment figures) are never sent to us, stored by us, or seen by us. Closing the tab clears everything. The sections below cover the technical exceptions to that — mainly around advertising and hosting infrastructure.
Information we do not collect
We don’t ask for your name, email, or phone number anywhere on this site, and calculator inputs are processed client-side (in your browser) only, never transmitted to a Finpockett server, because we don’t operate one for this purpose.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider and any advertising or analytics services we use may automatically log standard technical information when you visit — IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from IP, referring page, and pages visited. This is routine web server/CDN log data used for security and performance, and, where advertising is enabled, for ad delivery.
Cookies and advertising
Finpockett may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites, so that the ads shown are more relevant to you. You can review or opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or the industry opt-out page at aboutads.info/choices. We don’t control cookies set by Google or other third-party ad networks directly — see how Google uses information from sites that use its services for details. If you’re visiting from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, you’ll see a separate consent prompt before any personalised ads load, in line with Google’s regional requirements.
If we add website analytics (such as Google Analytics) in future, this section will be updated to reflect it — check the "last updated" date above.
Affiliate links
Some calculators may, from time to time, include links to third-party financial products or services — for example, opening a demat account, or comparing a loan or credit card offer. If you click such a link and go on to complete a transaction, Finpockett may earn a referral commission at no additional cost to you. This never changes what a calculator shows you — the maths is identical whether or not you click through, and we don’t alter default assumptions to steer you toward a particular product.
Third-party and external links
Pages may link to external sites — for instance, official government or regulator websites, referenced when we cite a current interest rate or tax rule. We aren’t responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we don’t operate.
Your rights under Indian law
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) grants individuals rights over their personal data — including being informed about collection and purpose, and the ability to access, correct, or request erasure of data held about them. The Act is being brought into force in phases; its core operative provisions (the notice-and-consent framework most relevant to ordinary websites) are scheduled to take full effect by 13 May 2027. Because Finpockett itself does not collect or store personal data server-side, there is currently very little of this nature for us to hold directly. Where data is collected by our advertising or hosting partners (as described above), you can manage it through the tools those partners provide, or write to us at the contact below and we’ll help point you in the right direction.
Children’s privacy
Finpockett is a general-audience financial reference tool, not directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves — for instance, when advertising, analytics, or new features are added. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here; we’d encourage checking back periodically rather than expecting a separate notice, since we don’t hold your contact details to send one.
