Not financial, tax, or legal advice
Nothing on Finpockett constitutes investment advice, tax advice, legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product. Calculators show illustrative outcomes based on the numbers and assumptions you provide — they don’t account for your complete financial situation, risk profile, existing portfolio, or goals.
Estimates, not guarantees
Market-linked calculators — SIP, Step-Up SIP, Lumpsum, SWP, NPS, XIRR, Retirement, and similar — use a return rate you choose. Actual mutual fund, stock, or NPS returns are not guaranteed and can be negative in any given period. Fixed-income calculators — PPF, EPF, SSY, NSC, FD, RD, SCSS, Post Office MIS, and APY — use government or bank-notified rates that change periodically (several are revised every quarter); a default rate shown on this site may not be the current one at the moment you use the tool. Every rate field is editable so you can enter the figure you’ve independently confirmed.
Tax and salary calculators
Income Tax, HRA, TDS, Gratuity, and Salary calculators reflect our understanding of applicable rules and slabs as of the last update (currently FY 2026-27 for income tax). Tax law is genuinely complex, depends on individual circumstances not fully captured by a simple calculator, and can change with each Union Budget. These tools are not a substitute for advice from a qualified Chartered Accountant, and figures such as surcharge (above ₹50 lakh income) are explicitly excluded from the Income Tax and TDS calculators, as noted on those pages.
Loan and EMI calculators
EMI figures assume a fixed rate for the full tenure. Most Indian home loans are floating-rate and may be revised by your lender during the loan’s life — your actual EMI or tenure can differ from this projection accordingly.
Markets and trading calculators
Brokerage and Margin calculators use standard regulatory charge rates (STT, stamp duty, exchange and SEBI charges) for equity delivery and intraday trades as of the last update, and a brokerage rate you enter. They don’t model F&O margin (which is set per-contract by the exchange) and don’t reflect your specific broker’s exact fee schedule unless you’ve entered it yourself.
Do your own verification
Before acting on any figure from this site — investing, borrowing, or filing taxes — verify current rates and rules on the relevant official source (RBI, SEBI, the Income Tax Department, EPFO, India Post, or PFRDA) or consult a licensed professional. By using Finpockett, you accept that any decision made using information from this site is your own responsibility.
